Biography

The River Falls Brass is composed of faculty from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, and its members have performed in an impressive array of symphony orchestras, jazz ensembles, Broadway musicals, film and television scores, and brass chamber ensembles. They have performed with many distinguished groups — including the Minnesota Orchestra, the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and the New World Symphony — and artists ranging from Isaac Stern and Luciano Pavarotti to Lionel Hampton and the Temptations. Their festival appearances include the Rome Festival and the Puccini Festival. Apart from teaching and performing, the quintet regularly presents clinics and performances at schools throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Grab a picnic blanket and head to the Hudson bandshell for a family-friendly lunchtime performance of the River Falls Brass, a quintet composed of faculty from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. The free concert will feature many familiar favorites, and no one will hold it against you if you — or your five-year-old — sing along with the ones you know.
