White Pine Festival Volunteer Kickoff Dec. 4

The White Pine Festival will hold a volunteer kick-off event on Friday, December 4, at the Water Street Inn, 101 South Water Street in downtown Stillwater. Past and new volunteers are all invited to attend the event, which includes a short presentation about the festival as well as appetizers and door prizes.

“We know a lot of St. Croix Valley residents want to learn more about this annual summer event, and looking for ways to get involved. We’ll have plenty of information about ways to volunteer, but no pressure,” said festival president Matt Thueson.

The event will begin with appetizers and a cash bar at 5:30 p.m., with a brief presentation at 6:30 p.m. Before and after the presentation, festival leaders will be on hand to talk with potential volunteers and answer questions about the festival.

The White Pine Festival, held each June, features nationally known musicians, writers, and other artists at events in the historic St. Croix Valley. The fourth annual festival will be held June 24-27, 2010. More information is available at whitepinefestival.org.
